Brief
Design Statement — Kitchen In contemporary living, the kitchen has become an increasingly central and dynamic space — often the true heart of the home. More than just a functional area, it is now a place of permanence and social interaction, where meals, stories, and time with family are shared. This social dimension, particularly relevant , inspired a design approach that combines functionality with aesthetic presence. Starting from the concept of an open kitchen facing the living area, a continuous piece of furniture was developed along the space, ensuring both visual integration with the social area and formal enhancement. The worktop recalls the language of old industrial kitchens, with a visible metal structure and wooden drawers. In fact, the entire counter is made exclusively of drawers, reinforcing functional clarity and visual order. A second supporting unit takes an opposite approach: white, discreet, and almost invisible, it contributes to the balance between presence and subtlety in the space. This project seeks to reconcile technique with daily life, aesthetics with practicality, responding to the demands of contemporary living without compromising architectural expression.
