Brief
The new Consulate General of Portugal in Rio de Janeiro seeks to establish a relationship with the existing construction – S. Clemente Palace. The proposed volume is an extension of the basement of the Palace, its roof being a Garden that is the continuation of the luxurious Garden of the residence. The building is invisible to the interior of the Palace entrance. It develops through a sequence of internal patios that allow the entry of light and a game of privacy and transparency between the various patios.
